The Middle Man Turned 8

Bradley turned 8 on the 13th of this month. We didn't have him the week of his birthday so we celebrated the next week. We took the kids to Kangaroo Zoo and then went to Bradley's fav place Golden Corall!! The kids had SOOO much fun, it was so awesome to see them all so happy and having fun. He said it was his best birthday party ever!!

He wanted a lava lamp.... weird I know..... $12 at walmart and you would have thought the kid had been given a car. It was awesome!!
I love that the boys are little mini Brandyns!! They are just so cute and are just like their daddy!!

If you know Candice...It would be her that would get her hand in the chocolate fountain LOL!!!

New Years

I didn't really take pictures but we were not able to get the kids for New Years Eve this year so we celebrated twice!! We had the Berger's and Deatry's over for a little New Years party the next weekend that we had the kids. All the adults played dominos ALL NIGHT!! The kids played the wii and got to finally get out their Christmas gifts. Kinda sad to think that they opened them Christmas morning and didn't even get to play with them until 2 weeks later. They were excited that we got to celebrate with them!!

My cute little niece thinks our house is SO fun and she was determined she was not going home that night so she jailed herself in under our table it was SOOO stinkin cute!!

Bentley got loved on all night! he was cuddled all night by the kids!!

I'm excited to start this new year out as a family!! There will be lots of excitement and changes this year! I'm really excited to see what it brings for us!! Here's to 2012!!!

Mom's big 50 WOW!!!

Yep as much as she was opposed to it our mom turned the big 50!!! Of course she would die to know that I was announcing it but hey she never looks at this ;)

Tricia and I planned a whole day of surprises for her. We took her shopping during the day. While we were out Tricia and I blindfolded her and surprised her with her first tattoo!!! She almost wimped out but it was something we knew she had always wanted but would never do that by herself so Tricia and I planned it all out and booked it for her!! That evening we did a surprise party at Roosters on 25th street and then went to Wise Guys comedy club. It turned out even more fab then Trish and I had planned!!!
Where would she have learned that look from??? ;)

Party hat and all!!

She really wasn't smiling while we had her blindfolded I was pretty sure she was going to have a heart attack!!!

Like this!!!

It turned out great and we laughed and had a ton of fun together.

I must say it's been a pretty amazing year. It's had it's major ups and there has been a few downs too. Watching my parents go through a divorce is not fun, but I feel like it has given me a good perspective on what I need to be for my kids in their life. I feel like I can relate with them a little. I am trying to turn these life lessons from them into life lessons for me too. It's been good to see them moving on and finding happiness though. You always want your family to be happy.

Being a mom has been a bit of an adjustment. People ask me all the time what it's like and how do I do 3 kids. I actually am thinking of starting a blog and telling about my experiences being a stepmom. I need input here though people!!! Should I??

I have enjoyed so much being a part of the Deatry family. I honestly just know this is where I belong. I was sick over the holiday break and it was so nice to be able to turn to my husband, father in law, and brother in law for some help! What an amazing family I belong to! My mother in law always tells me how she just feels like her son is finally with the person he is supposed to be with. She finally sees that twinkle in his eye. I didn't know Brandyn very well before but from what I hear he has sure changed for the better. Some people just bring out the ugly in other people. And Brandyn has been so good for me. what a pillar of support he is! I love him more than I ever imagined was possible and he is the best husband I could have ever imagined. I am proud to be Mrs. Brandyn deatry!!

This is my first year setting some New Years Resolutions....

They might seem lame but this is MY blog and MY resolutions ;)

1. I would love to lose some poundage!! Don't get me wrong, I like that I have curves but we just need to get rid of the extra fluff on those curves :)

2. Get dedicated to my business again. I have been dedicated but I want to be like I was a couple of years ago.

That's all I set!

It was an awesome year and I CANNOT WAIT to see what this next year brings!!!!

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!!!!

We had an AWESOME Christmas this year!!! Having so many people and family members we wanted to see was a little stressful but we made it work and we were able to see everybody! We got the kids on Friday the 23rd so it was nice to have a "chill" day with them and then the rest of the time it was just run, run!
Christmas Eve day we went and hung out with my dad and his GF Vicki! We went and saw Arthur's Christmas and then went and played games and did gifts. the kids were so excited for what grandpa got them McKenzie got a Hello Kitty cd player and karaoke machine, Bradley got a whole bunch of art supplies (Vicki says he's a really talented artist) so he's excited to go spend some time up at Feather Your Nest with Vicki doing some art projects. Carson got a Scooby Doo monster house and boy was he excited!! That could have been the only thing he got for Christmas and he would have been a happy little camper. And Brandyn and I are VERY excited for what they gave us.... Tickets to Aladdin at the Tuachan this summer!!! We are so way excited and they are going with us so we are really excited!! I'm a dork and didn't take any pics, I don't know what had gotten into me!!
Christmas Eve night we spent with the Deatry family. We went and did dinner and then we exchanged gifts and boy did they spoil us!! It was awesome to spend time with all the Deatrys TOGETHER!! Jeremy and Ashley came up from New Mexico and it's been pretty fun to spend time with them!
Best Buds
Jeremy and Ashley...Expecting baby #2 YAY!!
Ya it took about 10 times to get a picture even this good haha!!

Sweet little Bryce... Taking a picture :)

My dad and Vicki gave the kids a DARLING little Christmas box with all the "stuff" for Santa. It had a place-mat, cookies, a cup for his milk, carrots for Rudolph, and she even added in a little snuggle for the kids to go to bed with that night. It was so darling!!

Well.... He came....and he ENJOYED!!!
Grandma Rhonda gets everybody P.J.'s for Christmas Eve and this year all her grandkids got matching ones with their initial on them.... SO FREAKING CUTE!!!!

The boys each wanted Legos
McKenzie asked for a pink guitar with her name on it
And Santa brought us the COOLEST gift ever!! That's right people its a bouquet of gift cards!!! My mom is seriously a genius! It was a perfect gift for Brandyn and I. When we don't have the kids we like to go,go,go so this will be so fun for us and we have already used a couple!! She also major spoiled us with clothes and shoes and just EVERYTHING. We had a really great Christmas!
This year Brandyn and I decided to do it pretty big for eachother. We never know what situation we will be in next year and we really wanted to make our first Christmas as husband and wife a good one. He was so good to me, got me a new designer purse and shoes and clothes and did an AWESOME job picking everything out. I am still so shocked at how good of taste that man has!! I got him some new Callaway golf stuff, some more Dolphins memorabilia, clothes, and the new Beats headphones. We did really good for eachother and I think more than anything we were just happy to spend the holiday as a family. The kids got so spoiled from their grandmas and grandpas!! We cut back for them this year and tried to focus more on the meaning of Christmas and family. We just feel that those are values they are not learning in their everyday life and when they are HERE we find it really important to show them love through other things rather then with money. They had a wonderful Christmas and when they left they said it was their most favorite Christmas ever!!! It did our hearts good to see them get so many things they "wanted" but remembered that we are a family and it's not about the "biggest gift" I really hope they learn that as they get older and start making their own decisions.
Well this blog was full of words and hardly any pictures but that's what this Christmas was....
A BIG MEMORY!!!
It was a fabulous Christmas!!
